Short term care / planning placements

Short term placements aim to provide a safe and stable living environment for children and young people who are unable to remain with their families at the present time.

This care can vary from weeks to years.

Permanent care

Children and young people who cannot return to live with their birth families require a safe and caring home until they reach 18 years of age and sometimes beyond. Guiding these children and young people into adulthood can be one of the most rewarding roles you'll experience.

Permanent care options include guardianship and adoption.

Intensive care

Intensive care is provided for children and young people assessed as having complex and high support needs.

You are provided with additional support and training to assist you in caring for these children and young people.

Respite care

Children and young people already in long term programs may need regular or occasional breaks from their placement.

Respite care offers them different experiences and expands their support network.

You can make a difference in a child's life by spending one weekend a month with them.
