Welcoming you exactly as you are
We’re passionate about helping people lead happy, healthy lives. As an organisation, we celebrate diversity and welcome all people regardless of ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation, intersex variation or gender identity. We’re proud to be accredited with the Rainbow Tick for standing with people from Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) communities, at every stage of life.
Whether you’re looking to join an early learning service, access disability support, book in family mediation, or want to explore your aged care options, we welcome you exactly as you are and can tailor a solution that’s just right for you.
How we can help
From Broken Hill to Bega, from Tamworth to Tweed Heads, right across New South Wales and the ACT Uniting offers services that welcome LGBTI people.
Services for children, young people and families
For more than 100 years Uniting has worked with children, young people and their families, particularly those who are disadvantaged, vulnerable and isolated, including our rainbow families.
Every person we support is unique. The supports and services we provide are designed by you, for you. This includes choice about who provides those services and support and accessing the NDIS.
We work with people of all ages and lifestyles, from prevention and early intervention through to community development, education and ongoing support, in an inclusive, safe and welcoming environment.
Counselling and mediation services
Our range of counselling services across 8 office locations provide a safe, confidential place to talk about troubling emotions, behaviours and relationship issues. Uniting provides mediation services to help separated couples and families resolve their family law disputes in a safe and neutral environment. Mediation and counselling include services for rainbow families and families of choice.
Home and community care
Our friendly and accepting Uniting team is here to lend a hand with those everyday tasks around the home that have become difficult.
Uniting home care can help you continue to enjoy your independence. We can connect you to our government funded home care services, or set you up with our private home service for an affordable fee. We also have LGBTI specific government packages available.
Independent living communities
Our Uniting independent living villages are relaxed, friendly communities, specially designed for over 55s, where we welcome you exactly as you are.
Aged care homes
Uniting takes pride in offering warm and welcoming residential care options that celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of all people. It’s our job to help you live the most active and fulfilled life possible, secure in the knowledge that our award-winning health and care staff are there to support you 24-hours a day.
