Ability Links at Uniting

How Ability Links works

What Linkers do, translated into community languages

Ability Links NSW supports people with a disability, their families and carers to live the life they want, as valued members of their community. Ability Links staff, also known as Linkers, work closely with you to support you to fulfil your goals, hopes and dreams.

Whether your goal is to take part in sport, education, volunteering or other activities, we can support you in how you want to lead your life.

Linkers have strong local knowledge and work alongside communities, supporting them to be welcoming and inclusive.

Linkers can support you to:

  • Find ways to be a part of your local community
  • Set goals and plan for your future
  • Build confidence to achieve your dreams
  • Develop your existing support networks and create new networks.

Ability Links and your community

Ability Links supports people with a disability aged 9 to 64, their families and carers. Uniting provides Ability Links in the Northern Sydney, Western Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains, Illawarra Shoalhaven and Southern NSW regions. If you live outside these areas, another provider will be able to support you – head to the NSW Government Ability Links website to find your local Linker.

We encourage individuals, clubs, groups and businesses in these regions to connect with us for information and support to make their community more inclusive and accessible for people with a disability.
