Fees, rebates and benefits

Fees

Fees are used to meet the expenses of operating the service and organised on the basis of each applicable group. These are billed in advance, with payment by direct debit our preferred method of payment.

Fees will vary depending on the service, entitlements and other requirements.

Child Care Benefit (CCB)

Families may be eligible for fee relief in CCB approved and registered services such as early learning, occasional care, outside school hours care and vacation care.

To be eligible, you need to meet all of the following requirements:

  • you use approved or registered child care
  • you are responsible for paying the child care fees for your child
  • you meet immunisation requirements, and
  • you meet the residency requirements

Child Care Rebate (CCR)

Covers 50% of out of pocket child care expenses for approved services up to the maximum legislated amount per year. CCR can be paid either directly to the service or the family.

To be eligible, you need to meet all of the following requirements:

  • you use a CCB approved child care service
  • you are eligible for CCB for approved care, even if you earn too much to receive payment, and
  • you and your partner meet the Work, Training, Study test or are exempt from it
