Our Links to Early Learning program is designed for families who are facing difficulties when it comes to their child attending an early learning service such as preschool or child care. The program connects parents to quality options, and aims to help children access early learning in the year before they start school, it also provides support to participating services.

Who’s eligible?

This program is aimed at families in the Campbelltown, Liverpool, Fairfield and Bankstown areas. To be eligible, a child must:

  • Not currently be attending and early learning service
  • Start school in the next year or two
  • Be able to attend at least one or two days a week.

A child must also have parents or carers who are having trouble accessing early learning, for example; because of language issues, new to Australia, travel difficulties, or you or your child has a health condition or disability.

Joining the program

A child can be referred in a number of ways, including by a non-government organisation, community group, local church, parent, people in the health sector or through schools. If a referred child is eligible, they are either enrolled or put on our waiting list. If they are ineligible we might be able to refer them to another service.

How the program helps families

Our staff can visit people at home to get things started. The Links to Early Learning program offers support in a number of ways, including:

  • Helping families to apply for the Child Care Benefit, immunisation records and birth certificates
  • Helping to fill out enrolment documents
  • Translation and interpretation services
  • Answering the family’s queries or concerns
  • And more.

There are lots of reasons that might make a child suitable for the program, so please get in touch to find out more.
