Innovative Community Grants Fund

As part of the Uniting commitment to supporting Presbyteries and Congregations and other Community Organisations in the Uniting Church’s mission, it sets aside a percentage of its operational budget for mission initiatives that will make a difference to people experiencing social disadvantage in the community.

Applications should target social disadvantage through activities that:

  • Promote choices and opportunities for people, and add value to people’s lives.
  • Support and empower people who are disadvantaged, vulnerable or isolated.
  • Create, develop or enhance cooperative relationships between local communities, church communities and Uniting service streams.

The fund aims to support you to develop or expand activities in your community, enabling you to build capacity or start new activities, to work with others and to share what you’ve learnt. We encourage you to think creatively about your projects and to live out the call to be “Uniting for the Common Good” with other community organisations.

From January 2017 the Uniting Innovative Grant Fund will operate a three tiered grant fund
