Children’s rights

United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child

Children under the age of 18 years of age have special rights. Uniting staff commit to uphold and advocate for these rights.
Children of all abilities and backgrounds should be respected and valued. These rights are founded on four principles:

  • Non-discrimination
  • The best interests of the child
  • Survival, development and protection
  • Participation.
