Our house, your home
At Uniting, we have a variety of living options to suit many styles and tastes, from spacious private rooms with ensuites to shared rooms for those who enjoy company. While each room is furnished, it’s your home space and you’re free to decorate and personalise it.
Catching up with family and friends is an important part of life and moving here does not mean you need to give up entertaining - everyone is welcome!
Each Uniting aged care home has a variety of communal areas including lounge, dining, entertainment rooms and gardens that are great for family visits, socialising with other residents, or participating in the many activities that are on offer each week.
Before you make the move into a Uniting aged care home, your local Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) will need to complete an assessment of your health, mobility and care needs. ACATs are employed by the Australian Government to help you figure out what level of support you require and the types of aged care services that will suit you best.
Your doctor, health centre or local hospital can refer you for an assessment or you can contact an ACAT directly. To find the nearest Aged Care Assessment Team contact the Commonwealth CareLink Centre on 1800 052 222 or visit the Australian Government’s MyAgedCare website
As a not-for-profit aged care provider, Uniting is passionate about supporting all older people to lead happy and healthy lives. We understand that your cost of living is an important consideration. That’s why we’re committed to providing you with quality, affordable care and will work with you to find options within your budget. To make things a little easier we’ve put together a guide for understanding residential care payments.
Your fees and payments are regulated by the Australian Government and may be subsidised based on your income and assets. If affordability is a concern for you, please contact us to discuss your needs, eligibility for government financial assistance and affordability options.
